Cairns is an awesome place, and most people visit from all over the world because they want to see the World Heritage Site – The Great Barrier Reef. Cairns is located towards the top of Australia in Tropical North Queensland.

Sunny and pleasant days begin around April right through till the end of September. These are the months where you can swim at the beach, sunbathe and go around rather peacefully without much rain. Thought there are some drizzles once in awhile, it is not as wet as the rainy months. The weather and temperatures in Cairns is pleasant from April to September and not as humid and hot as it is during the rainy season.

 

A must-do during your holiday to Cairns is to visit the Great Barrier Reef and see the Daintree Rainforest. Tourists and travelers mostly always include this in their agenda. There are many Cairns tour operators to choose from, all offering day trips and overnight trips to the Great Barrier Reef, or bus tours to the rainforest or Port Douglas, or sailing trips out to the islands.
